Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you there with compassion and support. I offer a unique approach infused with a blend of Hakomi principles, analogy, creative expression, & practical tools.

It would be an honor to walk with you for awhile.

I genuinely love the concept of a Journey, of traveling a path — it’s ancient and raw. As an analogy, the Journey is a practical way to map out your life. It also becomes rich with layered meaning as we explore aspects of your experience including sensory, spatial, temporal, and relational.

This is why I’ve structured my offerings around aspects of a Journey, with single and multi-session packages that acknowledge where you are. Each offering is a guiding framework that we collaboratively adapt to your specific goals, desires, and journey. In the consultation, I can help you decide which offering to choose.

    You’re eager to take a comprehensive look at your entire life journey, and develop a deeper understanding of and connection to all the elements on your personal map. Although a relevant practice at any point, this may be especially beneficial if you’re finding yourself at the threshold of a new realm of some kind.

    I recommend starting with map-making, a single session listed in the section below.

    You’ve reached a roundabout or crossroads of some kind, requiring a choice or decision, and you’re uncertain which direction to go.

    Along with surveying the potential paths, we’ll spend time studying the qualities of movement associated with them - inertia, momentum, direction, pace, etc.

    Although you’re on an established path, perhaps you’re feelingstuck, limited, overwhelmed, isolated, or some other narrowed perspective. We’ll gently examine the path, and develop meaningful ways to navigate the darkness and find the light.

    You’re interested in pausing to appreciate the rhythm of the seasons, and to develop a deeper understanding of seasonality in your creative flow, community, work, and life. Depending on the nature of your current self-inquiry, we can take a broad or narrow view of this concept.

    If you’re feeling lost, making a map will provide context & perspective. We’ll illustrate your journey up to this point and identify future trajectories. The main elements of this map will include paths and landmarks that are meaningful to you.

    This session is focused on what I call gentle productivity. We’ll explore your relationship with time, productivity, and commitments. If you are interested in developing a deeper understanding of and appreciation for how your internal system works and how to honor it as you move forward, this session is for you.

    This session is focused on learning to check in with your heart as you navigate your journey. We’ll also get curious about what boosts and drains your energy.

    This is a stand-alone session for imagining possibilities, a visioning process for whatever is alive for you right now. We’ll use a variety of brainstorming techniques to identify & document sparks, themes, values, and goals.

    Creativity is essential to being human and flows within all of us. I invite you to explore how creative expression is intertwined with your life path — whether it is the path itself, a hobby, a desire, or an ability forgotten long ago.

    Any creative medium is welcome — visuals, sound, movement, words, numbers, food, plants, humor, something else. We are simply using it as a way to connect within.

    “But I don’t have a creative bone in my body!”

    I can also help you remember your intrinsic creativity if you feel lost. Through conversation and experiments we’ll discover an expression that resonates with you.

  • hakomi-informed

    Hakomi is a beautifully gentle and human method of psychotherapy. Certain aspects of the method can enhance the coaching process & relationship also, without diving into therapy territory. This is an important distinction! I have a foundational training in integrating the Hakomi Principles & Method within a coaching framework. I have a deep respect for the method, and aim to honor and uphold its principles in my work:

  • personalized

    Coaching is a collaborative process. As we move forward together, we’ll check in continually to ensure that the pacing, framework, and goals are supportive.

    Although my offerings have a structure, a story arc in a sense, we don’t need to force anything that doesn’t resonate. This practice is about your journey.

  • experiential

    Being present in your own experience is a powerful yet fleeting thing! If we can tune in “live” to our somatic, emotional, and thinking responses — we can gently gain insight into that which is protected or hidden within. Gently is key here, to respect your system and your pace.

    I think about Experiential in the context of this coaching practice in two primary ways: as being integral to the Hakomi method (even in what may feel more conversational), and as a mindful part of any creative expression.

  • infused with analogy

    Making an analogy allows us to understand something new in terms of something familiar. This is considered to be the core of cognition. Analogies permeate our language in the form of words, idioms, and metaphors.

    Our world provides an endless supply of analogies that help us gain perspective on our human experience. The Journey is one of the most ancient and enduring sources of analogy in human history. It’s ubiquitous because it’s so relatable.

    We’ll explore the Journey and any other analogies that pop into our heads as we work together, to create useful frameworks for goals and meaning-making.
